Trustee Role Information?

ICANN has vacancies for both experienced and aspiring trustees. These are voluntary roles but the rewards are many and include gaining significant experience of the voluntary sector, personal development and satisfaction, the opportunity to “give something back” as well as being part of a friendly and welcoming team. We would be delighted to help you take your first step into trusteeship and will offer you all the help and support you need.

In return, we are looking for a commitment to attending up to seven meetings each year in Penwortham, near Preston, Lancashire for which reasonable out of pocket expenses are payable. Our trustees are required to:

  • Comply with ICANN’s governing document
  • Ensure ICANN is accountable
  • Act with reasonable care and skill
  • Ensure ICANN is carrying out it’s purposes for the public benefit
  • Act in ICANN’s best interests
  • Manage ICANN’s resources responsibly
  • Desirable Skills and Knowledge
  • A genuine interest in the work of ICANN
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

We are keen to develop a diverse Board of Trustees to ensure positive contribution to our Charity with innovation, shared mindset, vision for long term sustainability and overall commitment and passion to deliver tangible care and support to our communities most vulnerable.

Applications are welcome from volunteers aged 18 plus and desirably a background in, marketing, fund-raising, business development, legal, health and social care and relevant experience in charity governance.
